    The Point, Click, Connect Program is a digital literacy training program targeted to underrepresented groups across York Region, including Indigenous, low-income, seniors, persons with disabilities, and newcomers. Throughout the one-week course, clients will learn basic computer skills enabling safe internet practices, effectively increasing their self-confidence. The Program is supported by a dedicated team of technologically savvy professional trainers and delivered online and at multiple locations in the northern and southern York region, including Job Skills, Welcome Centre and community partner locations.   • Youth Reach II

    Youth Reach II provides one-on-one employment support to youth ages 15-30 living in York Region. Youth Reach II serves youth who’ve had personal challenges in life, including those who have experienced or are vulnerable to experiencing conflict with the law or precarious housing. Through one-on-one employment coaching, we support youth with resume building, job search skills, and interview preparation. Additionally, we provide participants with employment supports such as transportation fare, interview clothing, work tools, and also with obtaining required training/certifications such as smart serve or forklift training free of charge.   • JUNIOR IT ANALYST PROGRAM

    Delivered in partnership with Google, our instructor-led program equips participants with marketable skills for tech-enabled jobs. Graduates of this program will receive the Google IT Support Professional Certificate. You don’t need any prior knowledge in IT to apply for this program, just basic computer skills. You’ll learn in-demand skills that will have you job-ready in less than six months. The Junior IT Analyst Program is for you if you enjoy solving problems, learning new tools and helping others. Topics covered: Skills required to succeed in an entry-level IT job. IT support tasks including computer assembly, wireless networking and installing programs How to provide end-to-end customer support ranging from identifying problems to troubleshooting and debugging. Different operating systems like Linux and Open Lab. Graduates of this program are qualified to work in high-demand jobs like: Help Desk Specialist, Project Analyst, Junior Systems Administrator, Customer Care Agent and Service Technician.     Language Training at the Workplace (LTW) offers job specific language training to employees who are in need of English as a Second Language based on the request of the employer. Training is provided on or off the employer’s site. Training is customized to the needs of the organizations and their newcomer staff. Employers select the topics and language functions that are most suitable for their business environment. Flexible class schedules can be arranged to accommodate employees’ work hours.
