Fabricator Labour

Fabricator – Stouffville, ON

An established commercial and residential glass installer based in Stouffville is looking for fabricators for the fabrication and construction of metal components. The ideal candidate would have some experience in a construction or mechanical field, with welding experience an asset. Training will be provided, with the candidate able to develop their career in this role as the business expands. A good work ethic, ability to work well independently and upholding a professional standard on every job are essential.

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour depending on experience, with opportunity for overtime

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent – Day Shift

Duties and Responsibilities

Accurately complete work orders, read basic fabrication drawings
Work with production supervisor, shop manager and customers to complete projects
Identify, troubleshoot and present technical issues in a clear and concise manner
Operate tools and equipment in a safe manner
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

Mechanical aptitude and experience with tools, with welding experience an asset
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Tenacity and the determination to get things done in a timely manner
Self-sufficient, analytical and problem-solving skills
Successful candidates must reliable transportation to and from work and must be able to commute to work daily
This is a shop environment, where safety for the individual and their peers around them are of top priority
Safety Certification (WH&SA, WHMIS and more as required – Employer will train)
Standing & lifting will be an essential part of the daily routine
