Employment Supports for Job Seekers with Disabilities

A list of employment supports service providers in York Region for job seekers with disabilities.

  • ACCES – At ACCES, our mission is to support jobseekers from diverse backgrounds, particularly those who face employment barriers, to find meaningful employment and fulfilling careers.  Staff are trained and well-versed in disability awareness, advanced job development techniques, and innovative practices such as job carving and customization, to ensure that every candidate’s potential is maximized. We not only assist in finding jobs but also in retaining them, providing specialized guidance on employment retention.
  • Achev – At Achēv, we have over 30 years of experience working with job seekers from diverse backgrounds and employers of all sizes, sectors and geographies. We understand the challenges organizations face while building inclusive cultures. We also have seen the many benefits that come with that type of culture.
  • Canadian Hearing Services
    Employment Services at Canadian Hearing Services help Deaf and hard of hearing individuals find a job and work with employees and employers to put the right supports in place to help you both succeed. The services are free-of-charge to job seekers aged 16 and over, and employers looking for qualified staff. Employment Services is offered throughout Ontario.
  • Corbrook – Corbrook is a non-profit, charitable organization that provides support to adults and youth with developmental disabilities in Toronto and York Region. Through meaningful citizenship and inclusion, we help people achieve rewarding life experiences by building on their strengths, interests and desires. On this path of self-discovery, the people we support learn new things about themselves and realize their personal goals.
  • March of Dimes Canada
    Every year, March of Dimes Employment Services helps hundreds of people with disabilities achieve greater independence by providing job training and finding them employment. March of Dimes Employment Services offers dedicated Employment Specialists who help you set and reach your goals. We don’t just find you the right job — we provide you with the job training, computer training and education needed to succeed.
